TESCO CAFE, March, Cambridgeshire. UK

Ink in Seawhite sketchbook

Popped along to Tesco with my sketchbook yesterday morning and, after a hearty breakfast and froth laden latte, I captured the man a few tables up from me in my Seawhite 6x6" sketchbook.

I always love to see your new drawings, partly because I lived in nearby Huntingdonshire as a youth and have fond memories of Cambridge. We'll be getting a Tesco here in Las Vegas in a week -- I'm very curious :-)

What a nice way to start the morning! I admire your skill and determination so early in the day.

I love the limited palette. Would be interested to know what equipment you used. Pen & watercolours?

Thankyou Eva.
Huntingdon has a huge Tesco, they have recently doubled it's size. It's right next to a massive Cinema, a Kentucky, a McDonalds and a Frankie & Benny's.
That's quite a move...from Huntingdon to Las Vegas, have you ever come back to visit?

Thanx Joan

Thanx Wendy.
I used a Lamy Safari fountain pen filled with Noodler's ink and two brush pens I have filled with diluted inks in 'nut brown' and 'black'.
I call it my handbag kit, if you search 'handbag' on this blog a picture will come up showing the small metal tin I took with me.

Oh, could you draw some more views of Tescos please, I miss those British supermarkets! (Ours have nothing tempting AT ALL!!) Love the sketch, great idea!

The expression on this man's face is priceless. I love how you manage to capture the essence of a person/moment in just a few lines.

A lovely coffee-colored sketch. I haven't been out to breakfast in way too long. Thanks for the great idea of breakfast and sketching.
