FLOODS FERRY, March, Cambridgeshire. UK

Noodler's red/black Ink & White Acrylic in large moleskin sketchbook.

Popped to the pet store straight from the school run this morning and had 15 minutes to kill before they opened so I sketched the workshop and van in front of me.
Floods Ferry runs from Doddington straight through to the March bypass, the pet store is at the March end of the road.

You did a nice job on the van. I have trouble with vehicles for some reason.

I think that in life there are so many moments that are missed. Each one of them is ripe with possibility. You've done a nice job at capturing one of those moments.

Not only have you rendered the van well, but you have also done a terrific job with the composition. The back of the van, with it's doors, almost divides the composition symmetrically, while the front of the van points at a wall that follows a "golden section" composition!

All it needs is a little face looking out the back ...

15 minutes! Amazing accuracy. When you're sketching you stop waiting and time is never "wasted".

How true Susan, thankyou for your kind comment.

Great sketch. Vehicles are always so difficult because of the many different angles and lines, but you've done a superb job with this quick sketch.
