A quick sketch from the truck yesterday while making the school run. I completed the ink sketch of the figures quickly on location then added the background and the colour back at home.
Isn't it strange how I make this trip every day and I could not remember what the background would have shown behind the figures, for this reason the background is a little 'imaginative'.

What a sweet drawing and it looks so European. I know just what you mean about seeing something every day and not being able to recall what it looks like. That's happened to me many times too.
That's so good especially as it's done so quickly! I have trouble too remembering things I know I should so I occassionally look at a scene and try and memorise it but even then I forget so much!
Thanks for your comment, it really made me laugh! I see a few 'rejects' on other blogs I wouldn't mind having - maybe someone should set up a reject art swap! ;)
It's hard to believe this is a quick sketch - it would have taken me hours! You use colored pencil so well, and this is loaded with atmosphere - it reminds me of the days when I had to go pick up my children from school - believe it or not, I miss those days!
Nice sketch of the people at the school bus stop. An ordinary event that makes a wonderful drawing. It is funny how we forget what was there when we focus on one part of the view.
Thankyou Jana, glad I'm not alone!
Thankyou Felicity.
Unfortunately I am the same with information from books, TV, life!
I try so hard to remember facts, dates, names....It can be very frustrating.
A reject swap sounds like a great idea.
Thankyou Casey!
I guess when we look back we remember the feelings of the moment and not the blistering wind and driving rain huh?
LOL!
Thankyou Joan. Yes, amazing isn't it...I see it every day too!
Very nicely done, Anita, and in a short amount of time, too. Lots of character.
