CUTTING EDGE, March, Cambridgeshire. UK

On Monday I took a detour on the way to the supermarket and headed down Gaul Road in March. On the left surrounded by residential properties sits a hair salon all by itself called 'Cutting Edge', such a quaint little building, it screamed out at me to be sketched.
I had to park up on the pavement at the end of a junction to face the building, so I dare not stay too long, just long enough to capture the essence of the spot and a quick photograph for reference back in the studio.

The following days proved rather busy but I finally got around to adding colour today.

The original b&w sketch was lovely. It's wonderful with the color. The shadows really make it super!

I don't get a chance to stop by and comment often enough on all your wonderful work! I think I just plain like everything you do! :)

I love this one Anita. You just get better and better and the work feels so spontaneous. Good to see the sketch followed by the additional colour.
