CLARICE HOUSE, Suffolk, UK

Fireplace in the 'Summerhouse' room

I have just returned from another relaxing and pampered weekend at Clarice House Residential Spa in Bury St. Edmunds. This time I was joined by my Mum and our friend Shelley.
Lots of laughing, lots of nattering, a little champagne and I still managed a few quick sketches.

Mum and I stayed in the Summerhouse room which has a lovely old fireplace with aqua tiles, I have stayed in this room before but haven't yet sketched it...Until this weekend.

Late Sunday morning Shelley and Mum read a little and I took advantage of the situation long enough to make a quick sketch of them both.

You must keep them in business single handed!! Lovely sketches; I especially like the one of your mother reading.

Lucky you - it sounds like a great weekend. Thank you for sharing it with us. I'm with Dave - the drawing of our mum is just wonderful.

I love the sketch of the Summerhouse fireplace. Thanks for taking us inside with you. The sketches of Shelley and your mum are great. I like how you just did the partial sketch of your mum's face...perfect!
