MEPAL OUTDOOR CENTRE, Cambridgeshire. UK
Yesterday was spent at Mepal Outdoor Centre sketching with some fellow members of The Fenland Visual Arts Collective.
It's a fantastic venue with a lake full of little boats, trees, shrubs and a children's play park and it's free for adults to visit. Diane, Joan and I were joined by Richard and Yvonne and despite all our chatting some of us actually managed a little work in our sketchbooks.

It looks like a lovely place. Really nice colours, and you've done a great job on the water and the boat. I love drawings of boats...if only they didn't have so many pesky curves going in all different directions!
Beautiful! Looks like a nice place to go. Your paintings are fantastic1 :)
Sounds like a lot of fun, and your work is beautiful. I really like the sketch with the boat.
Dave the curves I can handle but the boat constantly moving was an interesting experience to say the least, had to keep waiting for it to come back around!
Thankyou for your kind comments and continued support.
Thankyou so much Pugs. The outdoor centre is a little gem, picturesque and FREE...who could want more?
Thankyou for your kind words Casey and for taking the time to add them here...Much appreciated!
Really lovely sketches Anita.
This looks like such a wonderful place to visit. Your colors are perfect. I especially like how you did the boat. You really give the effect of the water reflecting off the sides of the boat. Beautiful work!
